(You use them to support your points even in this article) Also, for new Christians, or those who have not yet learned to discern between the voice of the Holy Spirit, I think scriptures must play an important role towards helping them know whether or not what they just "heard God say" was actually God. I also believe that God is not limited in any way, and that if someone honestly believes that the scriptures are the only way God can speak to us, he will still pursue after their hearts and speak to them in the scriptures. And if someone doesn't even have access to a Bible, he can also peruse that person in a thousand other ways. All in all, I found this article interesting, but just thought it needed more balance from both sides. And that leader part sees a little off to me, because God has and does use individuals to lead others, and he works through people to reach the hearts of and love other people. Somebody saying that they are a Christian leader is a completely different thing than saying they are THE leader. God even calls us to follow leaders and authority figures, so long as they never come above Him. Jesus is Lord, and our primary leader, of course, but God-given leader personality types still do exist, for a purpose. ~yeah ik this post is really old, but i just like putting my thoughts out there~Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200922551974697611.post-35508581157303566992018-04-12T21:36:39.289-04:002018-04-12T21:36:39.289-04:00Who exactly hasn't tolerated you? Just because...Who exactly hasn't tolerated you? Just because Christians don't agree with your lifestyle you believe them to be judgmental. Breaking news... you are being judgmental when you discriminate against all Christians. True Christians don't judge people - that's God's job. However, we don't have to support lifestyles that go against the bible. We can love people and not support a lifestyle. I'd highly suggest you attempt to understand the difference, because you seem to have a lot of angst over this.GodLovesYouToohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03018584091443669118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200922551974697611.post-87989581871062866792018-02-21T06:46:37.156-05:002018-02-21T06:46:37.156-05:00I've always thought The Word referred to Jesus...I've always thought The Word referred to Jesus, and that he would accomplish everything the Father sent him to do.Theophilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10844599140007348667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200922551974697611.post-55922172900768266462018-01-22T14:18:57.371-05:002018-01-22T14:18:57.371-05:00I needed to read this. Now so much makes sense, I didn't know before. It seems like the church is presenting God in the OT as the bad cop and Jesus as the good cop, and then they somehow try to mix this into an all-loving God. And I never got it, until now. When you wrote that the old covenant was there to protect the israelites against satan, what's your scriptural support? Please let me know how you came to that conclusion.

I came to your homepage after really asking God to tell me the truth. When I read what you said that Jesus has forgiven everyone, everything just fell into its right place. That changes everything. When I wrote to a fundamentalist Christian about this he called me an apostle of lawlessness, he got on quite a bit. I won't try to convince these guys. They're stuck because they understand that God doesn't like adultery, its basically all they care about, and they can't see the beauty with the new covenant. They put everything on their own shoulders, and other's unfortunately. They can never accept that Jesus died for their sins, or all sins for that matter.

God bless you,
MartinMartinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200922551974697611.post-61034060797045448022016-06-09T19:59:35.741-04:002016-06-09T19:59:35.741-04:00You may want to read the sequel post linked at the...You may want to read the sequel post linked at the bottom, which explains that.
But in short, complete annihilation (death) caused by the literal lake of fire after judgment because those people chose deathMichael Reyeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14415153325107878247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200922551974697611.post-6547812105284407562016-06-09T19:54:50.834-04:002016-06-09T19:54:50.834-04:00Thank you for your efforts in finding the Truth. ...Thank you for your efforts in finding the Truth. Jesus said the scriptures testify about Him but many times people don't see that when we talk about rules. At least I didn't. Now after the last several years my ears have been "ruined" from hearing the gospel. So every time I don't hear about Jesus and His life in me I'm put off and I feel like I'm being given a responsibility which I know He could handle through me if He wants unconsciously. I'm just not sure why grace preachers want to bring up rules sometimes. Anyway if you get a chance please elaborate. Thanks. Thank God the pressure is off. Also when grace teachers teach "grace is not a license to sin", I always feel like that message goes back to preaching law. It just feels like your behavior better be in line with the law when they say things like that but I see too many characters in the Bible that didn't live that way. For example Peter wasn't sharing the gospel with Gentiles for who knows how long until God sent him a vision and corrected him. And not only that but he didn't seem to be worried about his holiness in his own words when the man got healed in Acts chapter 3. In other words it wasn't about his behavior anymore.
